There are millions of museums in the world. A lot of people visit art galleries, historical museums and exhibitions. One can find a museum to his taste. As for me I’d like to create the museum of automobiles. It’s impossible to imagine our life without cars and automobiles. It seems to me that everyone must know about their history. In my museum people would learn everything about this great invention which appeared at the end of the 19th century. The car is probably the most widely used and most important of all inventions. The museum would contain the many different halls, devoted to different pages of automobiles history. Here you would see the first auto, the first petrol-driving car and a lot of other unique things. One of this hall would be devoted to German engineer Karl Benz, who produced the first petrol-car in 1885. Also there would be a desplay connected with the British motor industry that started in 1896. But the main exposition would be called “The man whose ideas changed the world”, devoted to Henry Ford. H. Ford started the Ford Motor company in 1903,when he was 40. At that time the automobile was a toy of rich people. Henry Ford decided to change the situation. The company made the model T Ford in 1908. It was small and even people who were not rich can buy it. Ford could do this because he was the first to use an assembly line. The assembly line was a revolution in car-making. I’d like people to see such line in my museum too. Everyone would be able to drive any car in my museum and to enjoy driving. Like them or hate them, cars have given people great freedom of traveling and movement, and so they are very important in our life.
